Mountain Buggy Nano Review, Features & Weakness
If you purchased a Mountain Buggy Nano, you will not need to purchase additional adapters because it is infant car seat ready. An on-board car seat adapter in the form of elastic bungee-cord-like straps, which you can use to connect and hold your newborn car seat to it, is in place. It is compatible with most of the leading brand infant car seats.
Nonetheless, Mountain Buggy Nano is not recommended for newborn babies without car seat. It does recline to about 450 from its upright position, but not fully horizontal. In attaching an infant car seat, you could face it both ways; but, it is advisable to face it towards you for safety reasons. Unfortunately, one drawback is that you cannot position your baby facing towards you if you use the stroller alone (without car seat).
The Nano can be used for children of approximately 4 years old or max weight of 44 pounds. It features one-touch brakes and rear-wheel suspension to offer your baby a comfortable and smooth ride. It is not for all terrain, though. It is equipped with an adjustable leg rest, a large sun canopy, an under-seat basket, a multi-height padded safety harness, and a 2-position reclining seat (but the seat is irreversible). It uses no battery that makes you untroubled as if you need to fold and unfold it.
Many people have positive remarks of this travel stroller. But, still there is no stroller that is perfect at all. One common problem is with the spring in the front wheels, i.e. hard to lock and unlock. Somehow, if you have this problem and call Mountain Buggy directly, they will send you the replacement kit. Mountain Buggy Nano also has no cup holder. The handlebar is non-adjustable, and it has a narrow space between the handlebar and the canopy.
Based on user preference, some users complaining about the inconvenience of the canopy that covers the handlebar. The lack of a covering for the mesh at the rear of the seat, behind the child’s head, is also a big problem since children need protection from the elements, especially around their head. All in all, Mountain Buggy Nano is definitely a good and compact travel stroller.
